As a Chicago resident for over 17 years, the owner, Paul Glendenning, is very familiar with the Chicago area.  As a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and a licensed general contractor since 2010, Paul has over 14 years of experience working in building trades. Paul has worked in new construction since 2007, plumbing services from 2010 to 2012, and general contracting and remodeling from 2013 to present. Paul and his team have completed over $10 million dollars of remodeling and repair work in the last seven years. 

At Restoration 1, we employ a local team of qualified subcontractors who reside here in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs (Lincoln Park, Logan Square, Belmont Cragin, Hermosa, Skokie, Oak Lawn, Winnetka, Evanston). In addition to being fully certified by the IICRC for Water, Wire, and Mold, our team is also proficient in demolition, cleanup, framing, HVAC, plumbing, electric, tile, hardwood flooring, finish carpentry & painting.

We are passionate about helping homeowners in their time of need and supporting staff and their families. Our construction background and local Chicago knowledge allow us to complete your remediation project from start to finish with the utmost consideration and care.

Recent projects include a severely fire-damaged brick two-flat in Humboldt Park. The owner, his wife and two daughters resided on the top floor and rented the lower level below. Our team was able to help quickly remediate the fire damage, secure the necessary City of Chicago permits and rebuild the majority of the interior of the building, making it safe and beautiful again. We were delighted to assist the owner and he was grateful to move back home after being displaced for several months. Ultimately, it’s our top priority to restore normality to your routine and ensure your home to a safe and peaceful environment once again.
